Joe Debrough, 62, Brain Cancer Patient

Diagnosed last year with brain cancer, Joe Debrough, 62, comes to the Georgia Cancer Center every two weeks for treatment. As retired military, he initially went to Eisenhower Army Medical Center before being referred to the Cancer Center.

At the Cancer Center, Joe works with specialists that anticipate and acknowledge his every treatment need.

“Everything we needed – a wheel chair, medication – they provided,” he says.

Dr. Olivier Rixe has guided Joe’s treatment every step of the way.

“He is a very good doctor, because he’s caring and he lets you know exactly what’s going on,” says Joanne Debrough, Joe’s wife. “If we call because we have a problem, they’ll take care of it.”

A life-long running enthusiast, Joe said getting back on the road continues to motivate him

“I just want to get back on my feet,” he said. “I want to walk – and run – like I did before”, he says.
