Leontine

What would be your first concern if you were told that you may have only six months left to live? For Leontine, it was her three children – India, 19; Ricquan, 15; and Chance, 5. Leontine became a patient at GRHealth when she was diagnosed with lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. As a result of the lupus, she experienced heart failure in 2013. During this event, she learned that, if she didn’t get a pacemaker, she may have only six months left to live. Leontine feels a sense of pride that, with the help of Dr. Pascha Schafer and the heart rhythm team, she’s able to take care of herself and family and continue living life to the fullest with her children.
